Home Care Workers Now Have Minimum Wage and Overtime Rights

Home care workers across the country now have full minimum wage and overtime rights under the Fair Labor Standards Act! Since 1974, the two million hardworking people who provide in-home care to the sick, elderly, or disabled were excluded from federal minimum wage and overtime protections as “companions” to those who need help.
